BSc Final Project

Latin Squares and Their Applications

featured image

As an undergraduate student I had the opportunity to work with Mme Janet Godolphin in the project "Latin Squares and Their Applications in Coding Theory". It was really the most interesting and fully of knowledge period of my Bachelor's degree.

A Latin Square of order n, is an n x n array of n different elements, where in each row and each column the elements are never repeated. The famous Sudoku is one of the most popular example of Latin Squares.

The focus of this project was in the area of Latin Squares and especially in the encoding and decoding methods based on them.

Finally, I would like to thank Mme Janet Godolphin for her useful advices and for the time she spent working on this project with me.
